- We are blessed to have 3 church members attending BTI this year. Congratulations on this opportunity. Pray for these: Jessica Heitman, Cindi Shaw, and Stephen Wantulok. Look for updates on their individual facebook accounts and the local church website soon.
- Additional work on the building is scheduled for this week. Pictures will follow as the work continues.
- We have 3 additional states that are viewing our Dorcas Blog. That makes 13 different major locations from around the globe to date. (Some locations have multiple viewers. Most of us are posted in the Little Rock area).
- Sewing for the Children's Assembly will resume this next week - if all goes well. You are invited to come and be a part of this activity.
- Several in the Region have lost loved ones in the last week - please remember them in your prayers.
- Camp Applications are due June 1.
- Regional Convention is scheduled for July 9-11, 2010 at Pocahontas, AR. Make plans now to attend.
- The General Assembly dates are August 17-22, 2010 at Ridgecrest in Black Mountain, NC (just outside of Ashville, NC) IYC has dates just prior to the General Assembly in the same location. Several have already made reservations.
- VBS will be held after the Regional Convention in July. Be prepared to work.
- Keep these activities on your prayer list.

Surprise! Working again!
Supporters of the Work.
Building the Wall.
And I helped! - Bret Difani - acutally he did a good job.
Clean up the mess - but look at the walls - They are PRIMED! and see the New Wall?
The new office wall - look above the door too!
Check it out - Primer on the old wall too. WOW! Is that brighter or what?
Yes, David was back and the work continued. This morning he was sanding and re-mudding while Sean and Stephen tended the yard. I wasn't much help - gather lunch and such. Brother Willard and David finished removing the wall between the closets to make the office and filled in the outside portion of the wall. Mudding and Sanding continued until... priming finally got to happen. Some of the boys went down and supported the Austin Block Party. Folks attending the block party stopped to show their support and the work continued until well into Sunday Morning. Who is going to sleep in Sunday School or Preaching...those teaching and preaching probably.
Yes, there is still plenty of work to do - but look how nice it is going to be. We will need new pews and carpet by the time we get this finished.
Stay tuned for more updates.

A day of work!
Working in the morning, working in the noontime, working in the evening.....
A sewing week has produced approximately 70 aprons for Children's Assembly. What a work crew! Thanks for all your help. The bonnets come next.
Turning of the Ties...
It takes 2....(elastic in the casing)
Our Seamstress...
I am really blessed to have such a great work crew.
Oh - there is more!
Brother Stephen, Brother Willard and Luke worked on the church office some more. Take a look!
Everyone helped get things cleaned up for church services and tools put away so little ones would not get hurt. Yes, there is still more to do and everything will have to be brought out again in order to work but if we keep working eventually the job (s) will be accomplished. Come and see the work, come and join the work! We will keep you posted!

NOTE!
We have now had 20 (Yes!) FIRST time visitors at the local church during services just in the last 4 weeks.
One evening during the tornadoes we were working and approximately 20 or more came in for refuge from the storm. (this 20 are not counted in the first time visitors) None of them were aware that the building was being used for a church. Several were on the phones with others telling them where the church was located.
Last Sunday evening another young woman came in and her mother (she is not counted in the first time visitors). She did however allow us to pray with her. Please pray for Ashley and her mother. Additional information will not be posted but if you would like to help Ashley and need to know her situation simply call Brother Willard.
Keep praying, keep working!

Farewell to Andrew for the Summer
Andrew had been faithfully attending Wednesday Evening services while attending college. We were excited that he was able to be with us on the Sunday Morning of Mother's Day. He will be working most of the summer in a camp in eastern Tennessee. We will miss him, his sister (Bella) and all of those who have gone home for the summer. We look forward to them all coming back next fall.

Mudder's Day
What a wonderful Mother's Day - 36 in attendance for Preaching - 34 for Sunday School. A good number of our members and regular's (14) were away visiting. We would have broken our record again if everyone could have been present. Try again next year.
Mudder's Day - yes, David Wantulok stayed and worked at finishing the drywall project in the sanctuary so that we could begin painting. We still lack another layer or so of mud before we can paint. Thanks David. It is a GREAT Mother's Day present for the entrie church.
The men did a great job providing a BBQ meal for all the ladies. Good food, good fellowship, good attendance, good service, good progress on the project - It was a GOOD day!

Drywall in the Sanctuary
No, we are not finished but this project is well underway. A picture is worth 1000 words - Drywall in the Sanctuary!
Thank you: David Wantulok, Stephen Wantulok, Sean Wantulok, Luke Wantulok and Andrew (from WBC). Oh yes, and Brother Willard. (Smiles!)

Drywall in the little peoples Sunday School room will be coming soon.
The Nursery, Office and Kitchen are in the works also. Check out the kitchen cabinets, sink, faucet, vent a hood, and garbage disposal that was purchased for $550.
Sister Oletta Nobles donated a dishwasher the same day and saved the church $50 off the cabinet price. What timing! Thanks!
Want to get involved - let someone know - today there were those who came in fresh late in the day just to help with the clean up. Thanks guys! GREAT JOB!
I don't have any pictures but a special thank you to Brother Joe Andras for getting an exterior church flag and taking responsiblity of hanging it for the Strawberry Festival, May 8, 2010. Keep looking - one day the church flag will be regularly displayed externally in Bald Knob, AR.
Speaking of exterior work. There are plans to paint the exterior of the building and do regular maintance outside. There are also plans for building a storage room on the side porch for outside tools and yard sale materials. We have lots of peg board to use for the inside walls - smiles.
No, I am not forgetting the sound booth - it is still on the list guys.
What so ever thy hand findeth to do - DO IT with thy might! Come and join the fun. Watch for more updates!

YES! IT IS HAPPENING!
What a beautiful mess! It may have taken approximately 15 years of ownership and almost 3 years of our presence but we are finally seeing some progress on the building. The peg board has left the auditorium! Walls are coming down! Plans for a Nursery, Office, Sound Booth and Kithchen are underway. YES! I said KITHCHEN! It won't all be finished in time for Mother's Day but Wantulok boys are converging on site May 8th (Watch out Strawberry Festival). They are coming early in the morning, some coming in the afternoon and others coming in the evening. The plan is to have drywall up in the sancturay for Mother's Day! Yeah!
If you are a perfectionist - you better get there to put in your two cents. There are still plenty of needs to put working hands into business. Hurry, or you will miss out on the demolition. Reconstruction is about to begin.
Those who gather get prepared. Noah's Ark theme is the thought for the Nursery. Functioning is the thought for the Kitchen. There will be additional needs for the kitchen.
What next? How about a washer and dryer so we can clean the towels at church? Carpet? Matching Pews? How about the parking lot or a play yard for the children? Who knows?
Come join in the fun before the "happening" passes!
PS - The storms brought in approximately 20 visitors while we were working on Saturday night. (They were families with young children, Sister Meredith.) It was as if the sirens were making the announcement - come to church and see what is happening! Most all of these visitors live within walking distance of the church and had no idea that a church occupied the building. They know now! The Bell's had talked about coming to the church to ride out the storm - God was going to see that the church doors were open to received people. Oh - and the storm broke up just before it arrived at the Bald Knob area. Imagine that!
WATCH OUR PROGRESS!
