     I have noted recently that many folks are frustrated.  They are seemingly at an impasse unable to go forward, stalemated by circumstances out of their control.  These dilemmas are not limited to work and family but also find their way into the people of God.

     Laity can become disenchanted or disillusioned when expectations are not met by others.  This displeasure is usually felt by the leadership.  Leadership's frustrations can be exhibited by either harshness or apathy.  This condition leads to the blame game, finger pointing, desertions and terrible morale. 

     Frustration makes for many bad decisions and actions.  Moses threw down tables of the law, and smote the rock.  The congregation threatened to stone Moses and Aaron.

     This dilemma being defined needs an answer.  The answer is to follow basic and fundamental biblical principles.  Joshua was a man that could have succumbed to the continued failures of his peers.  Joshua 23:6, gives a very clear directive, “Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left.”   Simply put, be courageous to keep and do all written in the book, and not turn to the right or left.

     It behooves us in this hour to apply ourselves most diligently to study, to prayer, to inspired word and deed.  We should not pray for God to do our part, but for Him to inspire us and anoint us to fulfill His purpose.  We must remain focused on the good and not be distracted by the sundry opportunities presented to prevent our success.  Joshua continued until he received his part and we can too by the Lord's help.
