You cannot help but be cheerful when looking at these fleece shawls. Sister Martha Vinson and Sister Angela Pierce put their heads and hands together and have created prayer shawls using this wonderful no sew or stitch method. If you are not into crochet or knitting, you can still participate in a prayer shawl ministry.
You will need:
2 yards of 60-inch wide fabric in two coordinating or contrasting colors.
Scissors
Cut your fabric at the desired width and length and straighten edges if necessary. Then carefully place the two layers of fabric with wrong sides facing each other. Cut squares from each corner. Next cut strips around the outside (about a fingers width and fingers length - the key is to make them all the same size). Be sure to cut through both layers of fabric. Lastly, you tie the top and bottom layers together using a slipknot. It is quick and delightful! Fleece fabric can be expensive but if you watch for sales and coupons, reasonable prices are available. You can even find great deals on the internet, especially if you are going to purchase in bulk.
Try your hand at this project. We think you will love it!
